Wine bars

Fancy a little sit-down for a glass or two of wine and something to nibble? We have two favourites wine bars and they’re about equal distance from South to South. This is a great way to get to know a wide range of wines from the region. It’s also a great way to spend a few hours.

Nomad Winehouse, Néffiès

A great vibe and a very, very pleasant way to enjoy a glass of wine (or other tipple), along with whatever is one the menu for the day.

Also, it’s a fabulous way to meet locals, many of whom are expats and can give you good advice, because by now you’re thinking of buying a little place in the French countryside, right? (And so you should!)

By the way, they do some really interesting food options, too, so you could end up spending a loooong afternoon there :-)

A stroll around the pretty village, especially around the impressive church, will make space to taste another glass of wine, as recommended by the lovely Kate.

Le Vintage Wine Bar

This lovely wine bar is situated on the main drag in Pezenas and offers a good variety of wine by the glass for a late afternoon drink, or aperos.

Their tapas menu is extensive and not restricted to tapas only, so if you’re not ravenous, it will do just fine.

Mostly, we pop in for a “sundowner” or aperos before heading out for dinner. Or we pop in for no reason at all except to taste some good French wine :-)
