Privacy and space
The apartment is set apart from the main house, but is linked via the courtyard and pool area. This self-contained and comfortable space offers a bit more privacy, especially if you’re travelling with your in-laws (just kidding!).
The apartment has a large lounge and dining area with TV and heating, leading onto a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed, fan, heating and hairdryer. A fully equipped kitchen features a gas hob, microwave oven, large fridge and automatic washing machine.
Outside, the small terrace for early morning coffee and breakfast, adjoins the courtyard with its inviting pool, long table for lazy lunches and barbecue facility.
Amenities
All linen and towels are included and each room has a hairdryer, fan and free wi-fi.
With two bakeries a stone's throw away, you can take a two-minute stroll for your early morning croissant (or a variety of other pastries and bread) to enjoy with your freshly brewed coffee, setting yourself up for a full day of exploring or for simply lazing by the pool with a good book and the company of friends or family.
Nearby Pezenas and Roujon have large supermarkets for big shopping sprees. Otherwise, there is a small coffee shop that stocks basics, and a fabulous butchery where you can also get fresh veg and other essentials.
And if you're not in the mood to cook, pop in to the local restaurant or pizza and kebab joint for great food and a chance to hang with the locals.
A fish and chips food truck, as well as a pizza truck, visit Caux once or twice a month for your takeaway fix.
Important info
Please note the main house and apartment are rented together as one unit. Unfortunately, the property is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
As you will see on the availability calendar, all of June, July and August 2020 are marked as reserved. That’s because the fabulous people at Oliver’s Travel have exclusive rights to the property in high season. It’s a win-win for us and for them as they put a lot of time and effort into marketing the house. It would appear they like our house almost as much as we do!
So, then, if you are keen to stay at South to South during those glorious south of France summer months – which you totally should be! – then head on over to Oliver’s Travel here where you will find our gorgeous old lady by her alter ego of Chez Le Vigneron (don’t ask, it’s just how things roll in the vacation rental world).
You can book on our site for other months of the year, or go through Oliver’s Travel (OT) – same difference. Simply fill in the form to the right and we will send you the rates.
To be honest, OT is probably easier as they are geared to take credit cards, which we are not.
We gave it our best shot, but setting up a credit card payment facility on this page was a bridge too far for our non-existent computer tech skills. That means we’ll have to send you an invoice so you can do a bank transfer.
It’s a tad cumbersome, but if you’re keen for the experience of doing business 1980s style, we’ll make up for it with a free bottle of wine … It’s up to you. Personally, we’d probably pop back to the link above and let OT do what they do best!
Before you go, please linger longer and read all about the house and the area and the wine and the food and our story here on our site. You’re also welcome to drop us an email if you have any queries.
(By the way, you'‘ll find, we still call her South to South because there’s a story to it, and because some of us are super aware that we’re going to mispronounce the French name every time we stumble our way through it.)
